Minister Poitier-Anderson is married (36 years) to Charles Lorenzo Anderson, Sr.  They are the parents of three children, two adult daughters, Kherri (Palm City, FL) and Jessica (Atlanta, GA), and one adult son, Charles, II (Orlando, FL); and the grandparents of Charles, III. In January 2003, Rev. Poitier-Anderson achieved the rank of ordained minister (licensed) with the Church of God.  Prior to this time, she held the rank of exhorter since 1983.  Minister Poitier-Anderson participated several years in the Florida Bible Institute (FBI) where she served as both student and instructor.  In addition, she completed the Ministerial Internship Program (MIP) in 1983 and served as a member of its teaching staff for several years. Over her more than thirty years of Bible training, she has attended and taught various Church Training Courses (CTC), and done seminars and workshops on a variety of topics of interest to church-goers and community members. Active in her local church, Port Salerno Church of God, Rev. Poitier-Anderson serves as a church elder, Christian Education Director (1982 – present), Sunday School and Bible teacher, and also serves in the areas of public relations and hospitality.  She continues to avail herself to do preaching, conference speaking, and workshop facilitating.  At the 2010 Church of God International General Assembly, she was appointed to represent the general church body as a member of the Division of Discipleship Board, which oversees all departments of the denomination internationally. Her service to the general work of the Church of God has also given her the opportunity to be selected to serve the denomination of the Church of God for the past four years as a member of the International Women’s Discipleship Board; and in August 2013, she received an appointment from the International Executive Committee to the Board of Directors for the Pentecostal Theological Seminary in Cleveland, Tenn.
